Weber Q 3200 Gas Grill

Like most people, i don’t enjoy cleaning grills, but this model certainly made the experience a lot better. Once the grill cooled, I was able to easily pry off food and build up on the cooking grates. The porcelain coated cast iron grates made this a breeze to do. As with all Weber BBQ grills, intelligent design coupled with quality construction produces an attractive cooker that works great. The heavy cast aluminum housing holds and distributes heat while the cast iron grates can do a decent job of searing.

There is a griddle plate available that will turn half of your grill into a griddle. It’s great for those who like to cook breakfast or want to whip up some caramelized onions or bacon for burgers. The Q1200 tends to run hot, even on its lowest setting, which is perfect for direct grilling. For those of you who live to grill with indirect heat, it isn’t done well on a unit with a single burner. If indirect cooking is necessary, Weber suggests is that you use a grill basket to create a little more distance from the flame. It uses small, disposable 14oz or 16oz propane tanks for fuel.

The benefit here is that it limits the amount of grease that can fall on the flame, resulting in fewer flare-ups. That did the trick, and the pan slid into place easily. It seems like it was a one-off fluke, and honestly, the resolution was simple enough that it didn’t bother me too much. As far as heat retention goes, the cast aluminum lid does a pretty good job at keeping the heat trapped inside. As long as you keep the lid closed, you shouldn’t lose heat and will be able to cook the food faster.

Our R&D department develops high-quality, fairly priced grilling equipment. Our customer service reps are real people offering great service, backed by 8 weeks of hands-on training with all of our products. weber q Another option is to look at the Napoleon TravelQ 285. It’s a similar grill with a few upgrades and is built for 16oz bottles. Please don’t get a PRO model, because it will not accept disposable LP bottles.

In case you think that this is a trivial feature, it isn’t one that is available with many larger models. At the same time, it saves you both money and hassle in having to buy third party side tables for outdoor grilling. Both of these grills also work like big barbecues.

It also saves you the hassle of having to purchase a separate thermometer as well. It doesn’t matter how many grills I have put together, it is not a process that I relish or look forward to. There are typically too many parts, too many tools required, and a complicated manual waiting to be translated.

There is a stand available that would make it easier to haul. But, after paying more money for a practically stationary Weber Q, a stand may not seem that viable. I suppose that it depends on how much more a Weber Q1200 appeals to you. You may be asking if the new and old grills are so similar, why take the time to create a fresh review at all? I’m not even sure that I would have, except that I still own a Weber Q grill.

Salt appears first in the ingredients list because law says the order is by weight, not volume, and salt is a heavy rock. We rarely recommend products we haven’t tested and we never recommend products that we don’t love. Paid to much to have to go through that eventide you want to change the propane can. I wholeheartedly recommend the Weber Q1200 portable grill. One of the few grills I’ve kept around after reviewing was a Weber Q1200. While I completely understand that it’s not the right grill for everyone, it’s the right grill for many people.

Many some cheap grills fall apart after three years or so. The only other element that you have to be fastidious about cleaning is the drip pan. However, even with frequent use, this only needs to be emptied and cleaned out occasionally. To make this job even simpler, I like to line the tray with aluminum foil.
