When I turned the knob, it shifted from very light to very heavy without much room in between. This meant that it felt like I basically had two options when I pedaled—flat road or up a steep hill—which didn’t jive with the many different, more precise levels I’d come to expect with other bikes. The ergonomic seat glides back and forth with ease and is cushioned, which provides more comfort during longer workouts. The entire machine holds up to 220 pounds, which makes it accessible for a wide range of people. It’s also important to note that while this rower is perfect for my size (I’m 5’2 and a half), I imagine someone taller might prefer a little more wiggle room than what the 37-inch slide rail inseam provides.
I was able to carry the rest of the pieces up myself. From there, it was pretty easy to follow the assembly directions to put the rest of the bike together. I’d give yourself about 30 to 45 minutes to assemble; I watched someone do it on Sunny Health Fitness YouTube while following along with the printed directions.
