Enter the Sunny Health & Fitness SF-E3912 Magnetic Elliptical. I had reached out to Sunny Health because I needed to order a part for my Obsidian Rowing Machine. Jerrie even sent me videos to help me untangle the pull trap which was awesome. While I was driving I called and I was connected to Jay.
I decided to go at it alone, which is probably why it ended up taking me 2 hours to complete. In my defense, the instructions were unclear and the diagrams Sunny Health Fitness could use some work. There are tools included in the box, but I preferred to use my own and suggest you grab your own Phillips Head screwdriver too.
We used a decibel counter app on our phone to measure noise levels and the max decibel was 60 – the equivalent to a normal conversation. It doesn’t have a screen or any fancy gadgets – the only accessory is a water bottle holder – so it’s literally a case of turning the resistance knob and Sunny Health Fitness starting pedaling. There isn’t much to be confused about with this elliptical. It hits the mark for an easy-to-use machine that doesn’t have any fancy extras. Regardless of the setting this elliptical was on, I was impressed with the smoothness of the workout. I didn’t have any issues with shaking or loud squeaking. I think this would be a great option for someone who needs to be able to do a quiet, full-body workout without waking up others.
The heavy 49lb flywheel provides a smooth and quiet ride, while the manual resistance dial transitions easily between levels. I called them and they wanted me to try and fix it before I return it. I could not remove the entire plastic cover because the screws were in tightly from the manufacturer. I was afraid to break the plastic cover and then I would not be able to return it. I called the company once again to tell them what was happening.
