Some parts of the stitching aren’t that great as well, and there were fairly big holes, especially where the guylines are connected to the main tent body. I also found a bunch of loose threads on the floor when I first got into the tent, and excess material on some parts. Take time to inspect your tent when you first get it , and don’t ever “force” anything when setting up or tearing down your shelter. Despite what you may have read, coleman 6 person tent you can absolutely enjoy an outdoors experience in an Ozark Trail tent. As for stitching, I found loose threads all over the tent, something like this. The pole structure is very simple, there are only 8 guylines in total, and the stakes aren’t your super high-quality stakes. The stitching especially around the doors and windows don’t seem that well done either, and I found a lot of excess threads as well. You’ll also be happy to know that it has three different entrances, so you don’t have to bother the person or people in the middle room to get in and out. The convenience features don’t stop there either, as it has a media pocket, loops for lanterns, and hanging organizers and pockets for a variety of small items like glasses and phones. There’s also a small zippered flap for bringing in or taking out your shoes or other small items, which you don’t often see in tents but is a smart addition.
These panels covered the mesh on the ceiling to prevent heat from escaping out the top of this Ozark Trail family tent. The rain fly also has a total of six guy lines to help provide extra stability if you’re expecting high winds overnight. So this is an area that is only partly protected from the rain, but you have a full protection from flying insects. Dependent on the position of the sun, you can also have some shade here.
