Keurig K-Mini

The K-Mini can’t brew coffee at consistent or appropriate temperatures, and even at its best, its coffee tastes similar to what you’d find at a cheap diner. The K-Mini Hamilton Beach is pretty barebones as far as Keurig machines go. It features two buttons — one to power it on and the other to brew — and a water reservoir fit for up to 12 ounces.

Customer reviews have been removed that relate to the previous version of the brewer. At less than 5” wide, the incredibly slim and easy to use K-Mini Plus single serve coffee maker makes anywhere perfect for great coffee. At less than 5” wide, the incredibly slim & easy to use K-Mini Plus single serve coffee maker makes anywhere perfect for great coffee. The Keurig K-Mini Plus coffee maker is featured in our review round up of the best Keurig coffee makers, so it’s no secret that we’re fans of the little brewer. It is a small, simple, and affordable single serve coffee machine, perfect for anyone who rarely brews more than a cup of coffee at a time.

The brewing temperature was not hot enough for my taste, and the flavor lacked depth. The Hamilton Beach coffee maker can be a great choice for space-constrained homes, offices and even dorms. Some of my friends take this coffee maker on vacation. This machine is less than 5 inches wide, and weighs about 4.5 pounds. The Keurig K-Mini coffee machine is among the best machines for coffee lovers who do not need or want to learn ins and outs of coffee brewing. But the problem is that K-cups can get expensive, really fast.

Saying that, the K-Mini might be best for those who already know they enjoy K-Cup coffee pods and want the single-serve coffee pod experience at home. However, the best Keurig experience we’ve tested has been with the K-Cafe and the K-Elite. The K-Mini is a slender Keurig machine that excels at its one function of brewing pod coffee. Its power cord storage makes it extra portable, while its one-cup reservoir saves space where it matters.

Home Grounds expert team has dug deep on this one, so that you can know for sure whether it’s a worthwhile buy for you. If you’re looking for another narrow machine with a surprisingly large 46 oz reservoir, the K-Slim is for you. If you’re looking for a removable reservoir but want more capacity so you don’t have to refill before every brew, take a look at the K-Compact.

It’s also the noisiest Keurig machine we’ve tested, outputting 80 decibels of sound at the end of its brew cycle. Like all Keurigs, the heating cycle is low volume, but when it comes to brewing, its biggest noisemaker is the sputtering at the end of filling a cup. That loud spattering also manages to spray water around the machine and counter space. The only potential downside to the K-Mini’s design is that its water reservoir, located at the rear of the machine, isn’t removable.

Therefore, if you prefer strong coffee, the K-Mini Plus is by far your best option. The Keurig Mini is compatible with all regularly-sized K-Cup pods. It doesn’t work with K-Carafe, K-Mug, Vue, or Rivo pods. The good news is that this model isn’t a Keurig 2.0, so you won’t have to worry about it failing to read your K-Cups. Additionally, there are still concerns regarding the safety of single serve brewers, though, which are believed to be prone to growth of mold, algae, and bacteria. On the other, the practice showed me that Keurig K-Mini is made mostly with plastic (and, unfortunately cheaply-made plastic).
