Schwinn Fitness IC3 Indoor Stationary Exercise Cycling Training Bike for Home

Indoor cycling bikes are designed to replicate what it’s like to ride a bike outdoors, and they’re the ones that have exploded in popularity in recent years. This model is the IC4’s little sibling, mongoose bicycles with a smaller price and fewer features, but it’s still a good option for streaming workouts from your device. The heart rate monitor and Bluetooth connectivity are enjoyable and easy to use.

This steel-and-aluminum indoor exercise bike comes equipped with pedals that allow you to wear clip-in cycling shoes or regular old sneakers. An adjustable seat and adjustable rubber-coated handle bars allow the user to create a more customized fit for a comfortable ride. Additionally, a harnessed foot pedal keeps the user’s foot in place so it will not slip off while pedaling.

Stage & Totals – Stage measurements can be reset during a ride, making it easy to track multiple in-class segments for time, and distance. The Drip spin huffy beach cruiser towel for my Peloton is one of the best purchases I’ve made since getting the bike. I can use it for multiple rides before throwing it in the laundry.

When it comes to deciding which stationary bike is best for you, it’s important to determine how much you’ll exercise — as well as where and when. Over the past year, Schwinn Fitness has worked with Gates to adapt this revolutionary technology to their A.C. The result is a new belt-based drive system that combines the maintenance-free durability and performance of a belt with the authentic-ride feel of a chain.

Work out in the comfort of your own home with the Schwinn IC4 Indoor Cycling Bike. Smooth magnetic resistance lets you comfortably adjust the intensity of your workout, while the full-color LCD screen keeps you focused on it. The slim Bluetooth® LE armband tracks your heart rate, and the media rack offers placement for your device. Overall, I would say this bike is an affordable option for those who don’t mind putting in a little extra work to get the technology started. The IC4 is a stable cycling bike with both good warranties and solid return period. Bluetooth connectability isn’t as ideal as having a screen with wifi-capabilities, but it gets the job done for half the price.

This is not to say that recreational Zwifters should avoid this bike, but those who seek to compete virtually would be better off looking into more accurate smart trainers or using power meter pedals. The abovementioned issues are related mostly to the fact that this is a spin bike. Spin workouts are typically high intensity and focus on cadence and resistance instead of distance or power. The Peloton app is a bit different since their studio workouts are based on spin bikes using cadence, resistance level, and perceived effort. The Schwinn’s resistance levels aren’t an exact match of Peloton’s, although there are helpful tips online for converting resistance from Peloton to the IC4.

Shipping is free (yay!), although you can purchase optional in-home assembly if you just ? want to ride your bicycle ? and not have to worry about putting it together first. It doesn’t have Bluetooth connectivity and is not compatible with apps like Peloton or Zwift. Ultimately, you’ll have to decide if price is a determining factor in your purchasing decision.
