This design maximizes floor space and keeps you comfortable when in bed, but still provides the durability and stability offered by dome-shaped tents. It’s sizeable enough for 4 large adults, though you could fit a fifth with a bit of squeezing (it’s only 10 feet wide). It can fit 1 queen bed and one single, or a lot of smaller bedrolls/bed pads side by side. Even if the weather is hot and the tent is full, it’ll stay nicely cool thanks to the built-in roof vent, ground vent, and mesh windows.
It can be described as an semi-instant system because the roof/fly is with a pre-attached frame, and the remaining elements are then attached to it separately. Thank you OZARK for making camping nights with small children just a little more difficult!!!! Good thing we are all troopers and we didn’t let your HORRIBLE product ruin our trip. Rain fly is too big — it needs one side cut differently to allow to get in and out of the tent. This piece of crap promises the buyer a lot for a lot of money, but what you get is something of lesser quality than if you bought a tent from the local Dollar store. Not the best, but certainly better than other shelters I’ve stayed in.
I actually even packed up one of my Coleman tents while it was still wet, and when I took it out a few months later, there was no mold or anything on it. On the other hand, I’ve had some of my Coleman Tents for about 3 to 4 years now, and I never noticed any of the tent fabric becoming sticky. And the steel poles of my WeatherMaster tent are still holding up fine. Also, my steel wall poles were showing signs of rust even though I did my best to dry them before packing.

The first thing to cover when talking about Ozark Trail’s Teepee is the internal space, which is a big draw to any tent in this style. Ozark has maximized the usable floor by tweaking what we would consider the more typical teepee design. Essentially, the tent is ozark trail tents supported by two internal framing poles. Without a central pole, the room’s usability is much increased and probably has something to do with the claim that this tent can sleep 7.
