Ozark Trail is actually Ozark Trail Sleeping Bags Walmart’s private-label brand—given its name because of the location of the Walmart home office in the Ozark mountain region in Arkansas. Ozark Trail manufactures a large variety of tents that will fit most campers’ needs.
If you’re looking for a budget-friendly, easy-to-setup tent, the Dark Rest line has a lot to offer. The easy setup, as well as its compact size, makes these tents excellent options for hiking camping trips or even music festivals. The two instant tents require no assembly and can quickly be set up or packed away when needed.
Your tent won’t be air-conditioned, and things can get stuffy once you pack it full of people. Newer tents build in vents and roofs that you can open up to promote airflow, along with the mesh windows that will let in air when you choose. Some tents are also built to keep out the sun’s rays, making them great for those who like midday naps on vacation. My personal favorite Ozark Trail tent is the 12-person, 3-room instant cabin tent. It provides a ton of space in an easy-to-carry package that sets up in minutes AND provides three rooms that give the entire gang loads of space to spread out. Ozark Trail makes an affordable quality family tent, and this 10-person instant cabin tent is no different. This is a 10-person cabin tent, featuring three rooms and measures a total of 20 by 10 by 6.5 feet. It can fit three queen-sized airbeds and has a center height of 78 inches.
The spacious interior will ensure you’re always comfortable, and the mesh windows and adjustable AC vent will help you regulate the temperature—perfect for even the hottest summers. Some users found that the material was a bit flimsy, particularly the fiberglass poles (which broke in strong winds). However, for the price, it’s a lightweight camping tent you’ll be glad to pack. As with any piece of gear, the number one durability factor is the amount of care that you’re willing to put into use, and more importantly, stowing your tent. Although polyester is fairly resistant to mold, my biggest area of concern with the tent is figuring out a good way to dry it properly before forgetting about it in your garage.
