Ninnescah River Trail
You will still have to bring your own bedding and towels. We recently have added Cabin # 10, the Crappie, #11, the Walleye, and #12, the Catfish on the east side of the lake. They are 2 bedroom cabins that we say can sleep up to 10 people. They have a full kitchen with a stove, refrigerator and dishes and rent for $150 a night for Friday and Saturday nights and both nights on a weekend need to be reserved. The price for Sunday through Thursdays evenings is $125 and its also the off-season price. It’s beautiful this time of year and very relaxing, perfect for a retreat.
The 8-speed drivetrain provides a plenty of gearing range for hilly terrain, and the trigger shifter is easy to use. The front and rear mechanical disc brakes offer powerful and reliable stopping power, in all weather conditions. 700 x 40c hybrid tires offer a comfortable and stable ride, while the alloy adjustable stem and quick release adjustable saddle allow kent mountain bike for a customized fit. The 350 watt rear hub motor provides a pedal-assisted boost that gives you the power you need to tackle any incline, while the lithium-ion battery delivers long-lasting power. The handlebar-mounted controller display has 3 speed settings, letting you easily switch between electric assist modes, and provides up to 40 miles of boosted range.
Public Lands Regulations state that all vehicles must remain on maintained roads and parking areas. ATV’s, UTV, and E-bikes are illegal anywhere on Public Lands, including maintained roads. Vehicles MUST remain on maintained roads and parking areas at all times in all public areas around the Reservoir, including the State Park.
However, the water line is still far from the vegetation line. Target practice outside the range anywhere else at the Reservoir is unlawful. This form allows you to email Cheney State Park with any questions you might have about the State Park and its facilities. This includes season openings and closings, campsite reservations, special events, etc. We ask that you return your bike to the same place it was purchased.
We’re estimate they will sleep 6 to 8 with the Osprey having two sets of bunkbeds in one bedroom, a full sized bed and futon in the other bedroom and a futon in the living area. It is also more furnished than our other cabins with a full sized refrigerator and stove, dishes, cookware and utensils. The Heron has a full sized bed and a futon in the bedroom, a futon and a Murphy bed in the living room.
It’s a way to see an example of the cabins that are available in our State Parks for renting. The refuge is closed to all activities Sept. 1 – April 1 and is closed to hunting year-round. The refuge gates will open April 1 for fishing access. Cheney kent mountain bike Reservior was constructed by the BOR and was finished in 1965. The lake consists of 9,600 surface acres of water. The State Park consists of 1,913 acres in three counties on the South end of the lake, both on the East shore and West Shore.
Shimano shifters and rear derailleur complete the drive train for quick and smooth gear changes, and the gearing offers 21 speeds so that you can ride efficiently on any grade. The racing seat is comfortable for fast racing or slow riding. Alloy caliper brakes and levers are responsive, resilient and never bulky.
Regattas are being held most weekends during the summer so you can often get a glimpse of some colorful sails. Our cabins have become very popular and we have many repeat customers. The cabins came to Cheney State Park through the efforts of our Friends of Cheney Lake Group. They formed to enhance their enjoyment of Cheney Reservoir and to help provide improvements that the regular budget cannot cover. Their first project was finding funding for 7 rental cabins and after the fact providing for and paying for the upkeep of them. We are very happy with the benefits that working with our Friends Group provides us.
The refuge at Cheney Wildlife Area, located on the south side of Pretty Prairie Rd between Obee Rd and Kent Rd, extends out from the shoreline 100 yards into the water. What this means is that water along the shoreline of the refuge is included in the restricted access area and is off limits to hunting. Accessing the refuge by boat or hunting near the refuge shoreline is not permitted. Cheney State Park is fortunate to have a great partnership with the Ninnescah Sailing Association.
