The shooting range may be closed without prior notice during periods of inclement weather. (e.g. rain, lightning, snow, sleet, icy road conditions, high heat, high heat index, high winds). All vehicles, including ATV and UTV, are not allowed to drive on the lakebed or off maintained roads. Some of the cabins have screened in porches and are in close proximity to the lake.

Do your part to ensure this range remains open to the public by making sure your shots are hitting your paper target and by not kent kids bike rapid-firing. The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) reminds visitors that all Kansas state parks are open for business. State park camping areas, cabins, trails, boat ramps, and other amenities are open, as are many of the businesses who serve lake visitors.
