You can leave a canvas wall tent up all year long if you want to, but this is not advised unless ozark tent you use it at least once per week. To maintain a solid structure all year round, you must be acutely aware of sun damage, wind damage, and snow damage. You also need to maintain the waterproofing; however, this is not as serious. Camping is by far the most common and obvious application for walled tents made from canvas.

Cabin tents typically have more room inside to stretch out thanks to their high ceilings and vertical walls, so most Ozark Trail shoppers will likely want to focus on cabin tents. It’s a cool tent all around, but our favorite feature has to be the 360-degree views delivered courtesy of this yurt’s giant mesh windows. There are three of these large floor-level windows along the walls of the tent, plus the giant mesh doorway that can be left open in good weather. But the area is only 140 ft² (13 m²) and this gives 14 ft² (1.3 m²) per person. The good news is we’ve got something for everyone in the list below. The tent comes with a removable divider, so it is formally in the ozark trail canopy group of 2-room tents. Do not expect lots of privacy with such a construction, the divider is just a curtain (see the picture below).

The ceiling is also made from fiberglass poles, so all things considered we’d recommend this as a fairweather camping tent, but if you’re looking for an affordable shelter for the whole family, the value is tough to beat. The point is that no canvas tents are particularly lightweight, and even smaller wall tents for camping weigh 70 – 90 pounds and wouldn’t even fit in a standard duffel bag. So if you want a tent you can easily haul around on your back, then a canvas wall tent is not for you, but if you want a tent you can set up once and leave up, you’re in the right place.

Each of the cabin’s three rooms includes its own privacy divider, and each is large enough to fit a queen-sized mattress as well, so it’s a great option for large groups or families. This is a minor benefit and maybe something you’ve never thought of before, but cotton canvas wall tents are much quiet than polyester tents, especially in the wind or rain. Wind can cause the material ozark trail canopy to flap about a bit, even if it is tightly secured, which can disturb you at night if you’re a light sleeper. Rain pattering can be relaxing and peaceful, but heavy rain can make a real racket on lightweight tent fabrics, whereas cotton dulls the sound better than other types of canvas.

In spring 2017, we put up our three new contenders in the same neighbor’s yard and left them there for a couple of weeks, during which time we had the chance to see how they responded to two smaller rainstorms. In 2020, we tested the updated version of the Eureka Copper Canyon 6—renamed the Copper Canyon LX 6—to make sure we still thought it was the best. We did, but after hearing some complaints from our readers, we’re now retesting it against other options. On most tents, these components are made of either nylon or polyester.
