Bissell CrossWave® Cordless Max Multi-Surface Wet Dry Vacuum

The Bissell crosswave pro max has many more high end features with its cordless design. The pet pro is not cordless but it does have a larger roller at 12in covering a bit more of a large area at a time. We’ve done the research on products designed to save you time and money. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max feels decently well-built. It’s similar to the BISSELL CrossWave Pet Pro in terms of overall build quality, with a body made mainly from hard plastic and an aluminum wand. The floorhead release hinge unlocks with very little effort, making it hard to roll the vacuum around when it’s positioned completely upright.

It leaves the surface slightly damp but has no trouble clearing the water as a whole. While it has a less powerful motor than the corded BISSELL CrossWave Pet Pro, that’s somewhat balanced out by its fluffier brushroll, which does a better job absorbing liquids. The shark cordless Max does an okay job of handling debris in cracks. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max performs superbly on bare floors.

Use with the Bissell connect app for helpful alerts, maintenance tracking and usage tips. Since the CrossWave Cordless Max is also a vacuum cleaner, it can happily suck up large bits of debris. As such, there’s no need to vacuum the floor first, as you’d have to when using a steam mop. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max does a great job of sucking up water.

The bissell crosswave cordless Max doesn’t come with attachments, though there is an additional replacement brushroll for its floorhead. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max is reasonably easy to maintain. While a few parts need periodic cleaning, they’re easy to access. Only logged in customers who have purchased this product may leave a review. The circuit board inside the vacuum’s battery pack can overheat and smoke, posing a fire hazard. If you purchased the appliance locally, take it back to the store and get another one.

First, I started by spreading a teaspoon of flour onto the kitchen floor, right up against the skirting board. Running the cleaner through on vacuum mode, it picked up most of it when running the head along the skirting. Bissell says that the edge performance is 60% better here than on the CrossWave Cordless – and it would appear so; there was just a small trace of dirt left to be collected. It also works well to pick up pet hair and bulky dry debris without losing any suction. I also appreciate that due to it’s compact size, it cleans small areas just as well as large areas.

Crosswave Cordless Max Multi-Surface cleaner also features improved edge cleaning for cleaning debris like pet hair along baseboards and in corners. Two-tank technology keeps clean and dirty water separate, so unlike mopping, only clean water and formula touch your floors. The self-cleaning cycle cleans the brush roll and inside of the machine after you’re finished, so there’s less clean-up after cleaning. No matter what surface you need to clean, the BISSELL CrossWave floor and carpet cleaner is up to the task. It’s safe and effective for use on tile, sealed wood floors, laminate, linoleum, rubber floor mats, pressed wood floors, and more, giving you versatility all in one vacuum.

Here, it picked up everything without dropping any grains back onto the floor, showing that this cleaner can easily cope with bigger debris. For cleaning, there’s a 0.83-litre tank that takes a mixture of detergent and water. There are handy fill lines for large and small areas, which means you won’t be wasting detergent. At the end of a clean, the CrossWave Cordless Max can be placed on its charging dock and the self-clean button hit to automatically clean the brush.

You can just pull out this filter and throw away the dirt, pouring just dirty water away down the sink, without fear of causing a blockage. Once you release the trigger, the floor cleaner then sucks up the dirty water (and any other debris) into the waste tank. The tank has a capacity of 0.55 litres, so you’ll likely have to empty it a couple of times for each full tank of cleaning solution. The water tank was pretty dirty after cleaning my area rugs so I know it did its job. My real highlight with the Crosswave vacuum is the mop for hard surfaces. The dyson robot vacuum Max does a good job dealing with stains when used with the Multi-Surface cleaning formula.

BISSELL® proudly supports BISSELL Pet Foundation® and its mission to help save homeless pets. It leaves your carpets slightly damp, but they dry quickly. This isn’t deep cleaning your carpets, but it gives them a nice refresh. It will definitely help with the lighter stains, but for tough stains, you’ll either have to spot treat of shampoo. My home is over 4,000 square feet and any small appliance that is going to save me time cleaning my floors is totally worth the splurge.

That said, the Samsung vacuum is considerably better at everyday vacuuming tasks. It performs much better on carpeted floors with its multi-surface floorhead, is easier to maneuver, weighs considerably less, and has longer battery life. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max is a passable option for cleaning staircases. It feels lightweight in your hand, while its cordless design ensures you won’t trip over a power cord.
