It leaves the surface slightly damp but has no trouble clearing the water as a whole. The water tank has clearly legible fill lines for cleaning either large or small spaces. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max feels decently well-built. It’s similar to the BISSELL CrossWave Pet Pro in terms of overall build quality, with a body made mainly from hard plastic and an aluminum wand.

To use this feature all you have to do is make sure there is enough solution in the tank. If not, fill up the tank with warm water to the self-cleaning line. My cleaning isn’t delayed by having to clean the brushes and then letting them dry before using again, because they do need to be rinsed with hot water between uses. You can even set up helpful alerts to make sure your vacuum stays in perfect working condition. You just have to set up bissell app alerts all within the app.

Any parts that you wash under water should be left to dry completely before refitting them. I don’t think it has a strong enough mopping function to clean grout lines. It does a great job at refreshing everything, but it’s not as powerful as say a steam mop.

The Max is a passable option for cleaning staircases. It feels lightweight in your hand, while its cordless design ensures you won’t trip over a power cord. It performs remarkably well on bare surfaces, though it can have a hard time on low-pile carpeting. Safe an effective on multiple surfaces including tile, sealed wood floors, carpet, rugs, laminate, linoleum, rubber floor mats, pressed wood floors, and more. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max isn’t suitable for cleaning high-pile carpet.
