This is quite a long lifespan for a HEPA filter, with many other manufacturers suggesting replacing the filter after 6 months or a year if used infrequently. However, as the replacement filters cost up to $119.00, I hope it proves true. It will certainly be interesting to monitor the performance over the year to see how well the filter holds up. Alen offers a lifetime quality for all their air purifiers. That means that Alen BreatheSmart Fit50 is guaranteed pretty much forever. They have a very helpful support center and will help you out if anything goes wrong with Fit50.

The BreatheSmart Classic’s ozone-safe Ionizer complements the HEPA filter by charging particles in the air, causing them to stick together and become more easily captured. The SmartSensor uses an infrared light to detect airborne particles. After prolonged periods of use, dust can accumulate alen breathesmart on the glass lens and affect the sensitivity of the sensor.
