The fuel tank is mounted outside the grill, too, so replacing it only takes a few seconds and lets you get back to the cooking quickly. While the Weber Spirit II E-310 is Weber’s entry-level gas grill, it packs a lot of punch performance-wise and was our best-reviewed gas grill for putting gorgeous sear marks on burgers.

While this style of grease dish is standard on a gas barbecue, it’s not in-keeping with the high quality of the rest of the Spirit II. The food we cooked had no excess fat and the grease had effectively dripped into the silver tray, meaning there was no grease overspill the the finished food was crisp. However, the parts that lead into the fat receptacle char broil performance are a little finicky and more difficult to take apart and clean than on other barbecues. Even if you’re brand new to the art of using a gas barbecue, the Weber Spirit II is intuitive from the start. Moreover, since Weber is such a leading brand, there are plenty of online resources, including video guides to set-up, connecting gas and cooking.
One of the major drawbacks of grilling with propane is the risk of running out of fuel in mid-cook. Weber has you covered; the Spirit II E-310 includes a built-in scale that lets you know how full your tank is. A visual indicator on the scale tells you if it’s time to switch out your tank.
The returned item is missing parts or the original product’s packaging, either of which were not previously specified by the customer. For returns that require freight service, we can schedule a freight truck to pick up the returning item but you will be responsible for the cost. Upon returning an item, be sure the product is clean, the packaging is sufficient to prevent damage, and you note your RMA number on the outside of the package. After taking everything out of the box it’s time to put up some of those nice stainless steel legs (yay!). The front part of these legs has a cool weber logo laser etched into them- very classy! Bolting them to the bottom side of the cart was easy though it would have been easier if they had just come with flat head bolts instead of nuts & bolts.
Grease and carbon build-up over time might make it look like paint is peeling from inside the lid, but there’s no paint here. Brush the flakes off and into a pan for disposal before they start falling into your food. For anyone looking to get a little more from their grilling experience than a basic barbecue can offer, the Spirit II E-310 is an appealing choice.
Better quality grills, like Spirit II, blanket the entire cook box for more even heat and more delicious sizzle . Weber famously calls their tents “Flavorizer Bars”. Note the notches on the sides of each bar which provide a visual confirmation that the burners beneath them are indeed lit. Spirit II has four legs, two wheels and a lower open-air storage rack. Speaking of the warranty, the Spirit II carries that same 10 year all parts warranty as the Genesis II. This is not true of the Spirit line, which has a 2-5 year warranty depending on the part.
