Weber Q Gas Grills Portable Weber Q Grills : BBQGuys

Portable grilling gets an upgrade by the masters at Weber. The 2200 is an attractive little grill if I do say so myself. It has a tan lid with the Q series logo on top, and it’s made up of a cast aluminum lid and body supported by a reinforced nylon frame. The brand also sells cast iron griddles you can swap in for more versatility. The Weber Q 3200 has the largest cooking area of all the Weber Q gas grills with 393 square inches of grilling space. The Q 3200 also comes with a stand for the grill, making it the only freestanding Weber Q model.

I’ve also noted this issue up in the Quality section of this review. I agree it’s an obvious design flaw they should have caught and should fix. Also, keep in mind that if you have issues lighting the grill, read the manual to learn how to troubleshoot the igniter, regulator, and burner. I’m embarrassed at how long it’s taken me to publish this review, but here I am, four years after the portable bbq redesign, dragging my feet to compile all of my notes. We purchased the Weber Q 2200 so our review could put it to the test in her kitchen. The Weber Q 2200 Gas Grill makes it easy and convenient to grill on the go, but it’s spacious enough for everyday home use, as well.

Ideal for cooking hotdogs, hamburgers, chicken, steaks, and veggies. When it comes to other items such as roasts or ribs, you may find that the lid is a little too shallow and the cooking area is just a bit too small. The weber q 2200 has the same features as the Q 2000, but also has the additional feature of the built-in thermometer. This isn’t the typical Weber Q experience, but the regulators can be problematic.

Speaking of weight, one of the few negative things that I do have to say about the Weber Q 2200 is regarding how heavy it is. For a portable gas grill, it can be quite heavy, making it difficult to lug around, particularly on its own. Lastly, the Q3200 includes a significant feature that none of the other grills have. The Q3200 is the only grill out of the Weber Q Series with a warming rack, something rarely seen in my reviews.
