The griddle top of Blackstone Griddles are made of rolled carbon steel. I originally thought they were made of cast iron because the require seasoning but carbon steel is different. Put it in the Blackstone Adventure car or RV for a camping trip, the back of the truck for a tailgate or even take to a friends house to help with the neighborhood bbq. It’s still a heavy piece of steel but you can easily move it.

After falling in love with my 22″ tabletop Blackstone Griddle I reached out to the company and asked them to jump on board as a sponsor of the RVFTA Podcast Network. We only work with companies that we love and trust, and Blackstone fit the bill in a major way. This griddle was fast becoming like my fourth child, needing constant love and attention. The large cooking surface on the 22″ allowed me to make just about everything at once. No more making one or two cast iron pancakes at a time and flipping them into a bowl, only to serve them cold minutes later. I know there are work arounds for all of the issues I was having, but the Blackstone solved a few of my major cooking flaws lickety-split. This model griddle only has 1 cooking zone compared to other tabletop griddles with 2, so the griddle can only be set to one temperature. As mentioned previously, the center of the cooktop will be the hottest point, and the edges will be slightly less hot, so you may need to account for this when cooking.
