Keurig® K-Mini Plus® Single-Serve K-Cup Pod® Coffee Maker

While testing, the shortest recorded brew time was two minutes flat, and the longest two minutes and 30 seconds. This is lightning quick, but it may be the culprit of why K-Cups don’t always taste all that great. The K-Mini stabs open a coffee pod, then sputters warm water through it without fully soaking all of its grounds Keurig K-Mini or allowing them to steep. Like all Keurigs, the K-Mini only accepts K-Cup branded coffee pods to brew coffee, tea, and hot cocoa, though thankfully, grocers carry a wide range. These pods can run anywhere between $7 to $14 per 12-pack, the lower end being grocery chain branded pods and the higher end Starbucks branded.

That machine has a 36oz removable water tank and a refined design. With such a small water reservoir and no way to control cup size, you’ll have to add water every time. You can add between 6-12 ounces of water, and when you hit the brew button, the machine will use all of it. A small non-removable water reservoir is at the back of the machine.

The most automated feature this machine has is the auto-off, which will turn it off 90 seconds after each brew cycle. To use this machine, you just add water, insert a K-Cup, push down the lever, and hit the brew Hamilton Beach button. After a couple of minutes, you’ll have a hot cup of freshly brewed coffee. This coffee machine has a 12-ounce water reservoir, meaning you’ll have to refill it every time you brew a cup of coffee.

Keurig K-Mini

Just like with other coffee maker reviews, I would love to remain honest in this Keurig K-Mini coffee maker review. Some of my friends carry this coffee maker with them on vacation. Instead of using a hotel coffee maker , they use their own beloved coffee maker to brew delicious coffee. Whether it’s a morning or afternoon pick-me-up a single-serve coffee maker such as the Keurig K Select can be extremely useful.

It’s simple to use and clean, and it’s compatible with all regular K-Cups. Plus, it brews hot, tasty coffee at the touch of a button. On a related note, coffee makers compatible with k-cups are typically more expensive. Keurig holds a prominent position in the market place, and dictates the prices. On one hand, Keurig claims that all the plastic its coffee machines and K-pods are made of, is FDA approved and BPA free, and hence, safe to use. My K-Cup, however, appears to defeat the purpose of a single cup coffee machine.

That is especially true if you’re short on space, as it is the most compact Keurig available. There is nothing to critique when it comes to the water reservoir on the K-Mini Plus. Yes, it only holds one serving of water at a time, so you will have to refill it every time you brew coffee. And the advantage of this system is that you can precisely choose the actual cup size of your coffee based on how much water you add. This coffee machine can brew anywhere between 6oz to 12oz of coffee, depending on how much water I pour in the water reservoir.
