It’s built with a stainless steel conical burr grinder, so all you have to do is load beans into the machine and it grounds coffee fresh every time you make a beverage.
You can program it to brew at a later time, and unlike most dual coffee makers, this option works for both carafe and single serve modes. While Keurig is famous for their single-serve machines, they clearly couldn’t ignore the growing popularity of dual coffee makers. We dug into the manuals, cleaned and disassembled the machines, and measured coffee temperatures and brew times. We used coffee pods in the pod machines and reusable pods in the machines that would accept them. We only used filtered water and freshly ground coffee and maintained a constant indoor temperature to ensure our data was as consistent as possible. The Aeropress, an immersion brewer, is closer to more traditional brew methods than any other single-serve options we tested.
Value concerns aside, it’s also worth noting that this is another noisy coffee maker. This shouldn’t necessarily be a dealbreaker—especially not if you need the counter space—but it is something to be mindful of. If you ever need to brew larger quantities of coffee all at once, this might also be the right option for you.
