More and more coffee lovers like to prepare their daily coffee with a K-cup single-serve coffee maker for convenience. One feature I wish was included with this machine is a removable water reservoir for cleaning. Cuisinart Coffee Unfortunately, that’s not a thing, but at least it’s easy to reach. With its 12-ounce water reservoir, it’s capable of brewing a single cup of coffee at a time, which is great if that’s all you need.

The K-Slim also doesn’t have the pod storage container and is only available in black. This contrasts with the K-Mini Plus, which is available in six colors and has a container. Without the “Strong Brew” Keurig K-Mini feature, the water travels through the grounds at a standard flow rate. However, using the “Strong Brew” feature, the water spends longer in contact with the coffee grounds thanks to a slower flow rate.

Certain machines adjust the brew process by which pod or capsule you select, although some also let you use more or less water for a weaker or stronger cup. If you’re looking for a solution to long brew times and complicated processes, then you’ll get your money’s worth for this machine. However, if you’re searching for an easy-to-use machine with extra features, you may need to look elsewhere. Do you enjoy delicious coffee but find yourself limited on space?

The fact that the one-cup reservoir is removable is one of the features that separates the K-Mini Plus from the K-Mini. While it might seem like a small thing, the removable water reservoir adds significantly to the user-friendliness of this model. It makes it easier to refill, but even more importantly, it makes it much easier to clean.

First “cleaning” brew & first cup of coffee was fine, then it failed to empty the water reservoir completely for the second cup. Several test runs were irrational; some brewed, others didn’t. Meanwhile, the K-Mini Plus brews between six and 12oz of coffee, determined by how much water you pour in the tank. This affects the overall flavor because the K-Slim cannot brew less than 8oz and doesn’t have the “Strong Brew” function.

Like its predecessor Keurig Mini, the brewer has a single cup reservoir. You can brew any cup size between 6-12 ounces depending on how much water you pour into the tank. A single cup reservoir ensures that the water is always fresh, but it will require some extra time for heating the water for each cup. The reservoir can be removed from the base so it’s easy to rinse and refill.

To keep your Mini in good shape, it’s recommended to clean the external parts or the brewer regularly and descaling it every three to six months. It will save you a ton of money (more than 50% savings per cup, compared to regular k-cups) and it will also help reduce waste. The brewer will turn off automatically 90 seconds after the last brew to help save energy. First, remove the water reservoir and fill it to the appropriate line. Put it back into place and select your favorite K-Cup 1.0.
