At least in the case of the Spirit II, it’s for a good cause. Mount the propane tank to the scale and little indicators on the side tell you how full it is. It has excellent heat distribution on the cooking surface and is a huge upgrade from our last grill. That being said, the feature that I am most fond of here is the propane scale. This gives you a reading of how much fuel is in propane tank.
