Fill the water tank up, pop in a pod, and leave your mug on the drip tray for a minute. You’ll have a decent cup of coffee afterward, time and time again. Most of the parts you would want, notably the drip tray and K-cup pod holder, are dishwasher safe. They are also easy to hand wash if you don’t hamilton coffee Maker have access to a dishwasher. The Keurig K-Mini is intentionally very small, designed as it is to fit smaller spaces and deliver single cups of coffee. It is simple and effective, with no frills, no extras, gadgets, or gizmos – just a straightforward way to get a decent brew when space is limited.
Finally, the K-Mini Plus’s pod container is a welcome addition, too. Each coffee machine stands 16.8in tall when the lid is open, 4.5in wide, and 11.3in deep. Meanwhile, there’s a 6in gap between the drip tray and the coffee spout, which is ample for most coffee cups. However, if you want to brew the coffee into travel mugs when you’re on the move, you can take out their drip trays, offering an extra inch of clearance.
Place your mug under the spout, removing the drip tray if necessary. Press the brew button and wait for your coffee to flow into your mug. Open the top of the machine and place your K-Cup inside.
The good news is that this model isn’t a Keurig 2.0, so you won’t have to worry about it failing to read your K-Cups. You’ll find the small 12-ounce water reservoir in the back. Conveniently, it has transparent sides so that you can see how much water you’ve added. This can be a little hard to see from the front, however.
However, just like with other Keurig machines, I am disappointed that Keurig puts so much plastic in their coffee makers. Keurig has many coffee machines to suit any budget, and while it’s always great to have a choice, many Keurig models are quite similar, with features that can be confusing. The Keurig K-Slim has a similar price tag to the K-Mini Plus.
The light will start to pulse and the machine will start to warm up. Right now, you’ve unboxed and plugged in your K-Mini coffee maker. But if you are just keurig single cup drip coffee makers getting into Keurig machines, it might be best to try some of Keurig’s own coffee. Running a cleansing brew is recommended by Keurig every month or so.
