Beats’ Pure ANC actively blocks external noise and uses real-time audio calibration to preserve clarity, range and emotion. The Audio-Technica ATH-M50x are better headphones for neutral sound than the Wireless. Although they’re both closed-back, over-ear headphones, the Audio-Technica have a more neutral sound and a slightly better passive soundstage. However, unlike the Audio-Technica, the Beats are wireless and they have controls, a microphone, and active noise cancelling, making them more versatile headphones overall. They’re also slightly more comfortable and their battery lasts up to 23 hours.

Detachable 51-inch long audio cable with built-in mic and call answer/music player control button for iPhone/iPod/iPad, and smartphone use, USB charging cable, carrying case, and carabineer. The beats flex review Wireless headphones combine quality Bluetooth audio and above-average noise cancellation. I’m a very tech savvy, I was debating between these and the Skullcandy Crusher wireless, but these are more of an audio than a physical bass. Remember, there are plenty of headphones out there that are way better than these for a better price, when you buy these, you’re buying the brand, not the performance, just like iPhones. I recommend these to anyone with the money, just don’t drop them…

Beats aims to provide exceptional sound in a comfortable design with not too many features. You’ll find Pure Adaptive Noise Cancellation, which uses microphones to block out low-frequency sounds. However, you won’t find an app filled with features that might be daunting to use. The Beats Studio3s home in on great sound with features that you’ll use in a comfortable and vibrant design. Beats says the W1 chip is what allows the adaptive noise canceling to be always monitoring the world without draining the battery. I hear there are better noise reduction headphones out there but for me that hasn’t been an issue.

In a similar vein to having no companion app, there are no extra modes for listening on the Studio3s. You get what you get out of the box, and that’s not a bad thing. The Studio3 sounds good but not great in our sound quality testing. The Studio3’s clarity is quite good, with even complicated melodies sound crisp and defined. Somewhat surprisingly, the Studio3 is noticeably lacking in the bass department. Right now, I can use the same charger to refuel my MacBook Pro, Pixel 2, and Bowers & Wilkins PX, but if I actually went all in on Apple’s ecosystem, I’d need three different cables. Beats says with noise canceling off, you can expect about 40 hours of battery life, and that was pretty close to what I got. So that would mean you can listen for a little under two days; on average, with off and on listening, I got around three days before needing to charge. With noise canceling on, Beats estimates around 20 hours, and at most I was able to get 18½, with some pauses with the headphones being turned off. In our Beats Studio3 review, we found that they deliver everything you’d want in a premium set of wireless Bluetooth headphones.
