It came with some hardware to hold wine glasses, but it doesn™™t fit ours. The only complaint I have is that it is rather loud it does do a good job of cleaning the dishes, and most of all I™™m happy not to have to do it by hand again. I have never owned a dishwasher, frigidaire gallery dishwasher neither has my husband in all our life. We purchased this dishwasher with the SAME model number as listed in December 2020, and in June of 2022, it tanked on us. It didn’t take the Cascade Pods as mentioned on the product, and the pods never melted properly.
With the Normal Wash and Power Plus cycles, we saw adequate water coverage and minimal redeposit—which is when soil washes off a dirty dish and dries on an otherwise-clean one. While no cycle could perfectly remove all of the tough stains we used, they would frigidaire gallery dishwasher be more than a match for the common, everyday stains a normal user would create. The dishwashers with OrbitClean that we’ve tested have always excelled in the cleaning department. The differences are in what extra little features they come equipped with.
A dishwasher’s interior, which includes the inside of the door, could be made of stainless steel, plastic, or a combination of the two–such as a plastic door and stainless sides and bottom. Unlike a plastic interior, an all-stainless interior won’t discolor, but it does increase the cost of a dishwasher by about $100. I was replacing my seventeen-year-old Frigidaire dishwasher due to remodeling and changing colors. I was disappointed to find out that the drying cycle on the new models does not actually dry the dishes or even the inside of the dishwasher. Was shocked when I ran a cycle and due to my schedule did not open the dishwasher for two days and everything inside was still soaked. I called my dealer and was told that I would need to open the dishwasher after the cycle has run and leave it opened overnight to fully dry the dishes.
It’s competent at cleaning, has a fine mix of cycles and a couple of nice extras like a smudge-proof stainless finish and great wine stem holders. But it’s not the best at anything it does. It’s not the best value, best cleaner or most feature rich. Head here for our current list of favorites. If those aren’t available at your local retailer and the FGID2476SF is on sale, it’s competent and worth your consideration.
A negative is we often have utensils falling through the utensils holder. Overall it’s a great dishwasher and I would definitely recommend. Based on customer feedback, this feature takes some getting used to, but does work well. Frigidaire’s base models have what it calls a BladeSpray, where a secondary, small “blade-like” spray is attached to the end of the standard spray arm at the bottom of the tub. The independent rotation of the BladeSpray arm creates a superior water distribution that reaches all of your dishes. Most dishwashers feature at least two wash arms, each with nozzles that spray the water throughout the tub. The more arms and nozzles, the better the water distribution, and the cleaner your plates.
MaxBoost™ Dry technology uses heating and a fan to push out moist air and pull in fresh, dry air so you don’t have to hand dry. Durable, stainless steel interior with removable, stainless steel filter, which prevents re-depositing of food particles. If that’s the case, and especially if you’re fond of the Frigidaire/Electrolux brand, I’m happy to report that this model is competent and it looks great. If you scrape your dishes, you’ll also be very happy with how it cleans, and you likely won’t miss the nice extras from other dishwashers. So the Frigidaire FGID2476SF isn’t a bad dishwasher, it’s just lacking anything to help it elevate above the competition.
We didn™™t want to pay over $1,000 for a dishwasher. If people accept paying that, stores will charge more! We are pleased that the dishwasher is quiet and cleans well including drying the dishes with the exception of some plastics.
It’s also capable of extending the cycle time and heat for better results. Please note that the MaxBoost Dry function adds about 20 minutes to the overall cycle time. No WiFi.If you really want a WiFi-enabled machine, you must look at other brands. None of Frigidaire’s dishwashers have Wi-Fi frigidaire gallery dishwasher connectivity or any of the features that come with it, like an app to alert you when the cycle has finished. According to our research of dozens of dishwashers across a variety of brands, our top rated dishwashers are the LG 24 in. LDF454HT, the Samsung 24-inch Top Control DW80R9950US, and the Bosch 300 Series. With that said, we recommend the Whirlpool 24 in. WDT710PAHZ for its affordability and brand reputation, the Bosch 300 Series 24 in. SHEM63W56N for its large capacity and suite of features, and the Samsung 24 in.
