Braun Series 5 50-M1000S Shaver Black Techinn

Not sure what the ” recharging stand” is as it just plugs into the wall with a cord…charged quickly. Happy with my purchase and it appears replacement heads are affordable Braun Series 5 and the heads last. These are called charging studs and when they make contact with the included cleaning station, the battery will instantly begin to charge.

Braun Series 5

And the results would have been much better also. And I was really thorough with it and spent quite a bit of time doing it. There’s a cutout below the shaving unit covered by two rubber flaps. And that’s a bit odd since all of them are actually compatible with the stations shipped with the 2020 Series 7 and 6 . So it’s overall a quiet razor, although not by any means as quiet as a rotary.

I tried to test it in a variety of scenarios so I can get a better understanding of its pros and cons and when this shaver would be a suitable option. For this review, I’ve been using the Braun Series s exclusively for almost two weeks. The battery indicator is very basic, with only 3 levels, each one representing a third of the battery capacity. Charging the 5018s from 0 to 100% takes around one hour. The charger (type 492-XXXX) has a USA plug and will work anywhere in the world (100–240v). Nevertheless, the battery life has been solid during my tests with the Series s.

It is very easy to clean and can be washed with warm water without removing the blades while shaving with it, but after using it, it still requires cleaning properly. I still remove the blades to make sure it’s cleaned very well. This model has a fixed shaving head which is not as flexible while shaving as the higher-priced flexible head models. Buyers are looking at paying more for shavers with a flexible head compared to this model. Very good ergonomics and the slimline design with hand grips does make the series 5 very comfortable to use. The most fragile part of this shaver and all other electric shavers seems to be the head section with the cutters otherwise the whole unit feels solid.

The only difference between the two shaving units is that the molding on the Series 5 shaving unit is slightly longer. Because of this, while the Series 7 shaving head will fit the series 5, that of the Series 5 won’t fit the Series 7. Despite this flaw, the trimmer works best for detailing (sideburns, goatees etc.).

As we mentioned earlier, Braun’s charger is the only one to ship with a coiled cord. Like the kind you find on the handset of your office phone. In an effort to help those of you with poor shaving technique, the shaving heads have a certain amount of give.

The new shavers are a complete departure from the current Series 5 that we all know. While it does have some minor flaws here and there the Series 5 should be your starting point if you want a fine example of a good foil shave. But achieving the perfect clean took a fair bit of time, more than you will have to spare if you are already running late for work. It is recommended that you clean your Series 5 shaver after each and every use. Holding the Philips Norelco Shaver in your hand is a comfortable experience. The shaver is nicely weighted and has a premium feel to it.

The different numbers correlate with color, the country they are sold, and the accessories or attachments the razor is sold with. In my experience, the differences between the old Series 7 and the Series 9, especially since you shave more often, would be minor. In terms of closeness, I personally don’t see any differences and I also have sensitive skin. Some users do, others don’t, but I think it would be a very safe choice for you and for anyone that deals with post-shave irritation. I think it will also be a significant update from your current Series 5.
