I would give it 5 stars but the K cup side likes to leak all over from time to time. It brews both sides wonderfully and the filters make it even better. But if I can’t keep water in the single cup side it is an inconvenience.

First we brewed the full 10 cup maximum capacity, which took just over 10 minutes, including the grinding. The manual advises roughly one scoop of beans per cup, but not more than 14 Keurig K-Mini scoops, so we opted for 12 to ensure it would be strong enough. The flavor was fresh and well rounded – not bitter or too strong – but this will vary depending on the beans you use.
The water reservoir is filled by flipping up the top lid, and there’s a water level indicator with cup markers on the side of the coffee maker. The Coffee Center comes with a reusable gold tone filter, but you can also use a #4 paper filter to brew coffee. Doing so can overflow your filter basket, so choose either one or the other when brewing your morning joe.
It’s available in black or white, as well as in a smaller, 10-cup model. The DCC-1150BK comes with a charcoal water filter and a reusable gold-tone coffee filter to give you the Hamilton Beach best-tasting cup of coffee possible. Unfortunately, the carafe isn’t very well-designed and can be hard to pour. At 77dB, the grinding was the noisiest part of the process.
