Now we still have to vacuum and then use this as a very overpriced mop. I took a picture of the floor after several passes and I know it’s a little hard to see but this is just one tile and if shark cordless you zoom in you’ll see all the black dog hair. It doesn’t do well against floor boards or kitchen islands. Presumably the CrossWave Max gets its name from the wavy shape of its side profile.
It also lacks a HEPA filter, and some allergens can escape from its exhaust. Vacuum, mop and dry hard floors and area rugs at the same time, for quicker cleaning of various wet and dry messes, liquid spills and larger dry debris like cereal. Cleverly, there’s a filter in the dirty water tank, which separates the larger bits of debris and pet hair from the water. You can just pull out this filter and throw away the dirt, pouring just dirty water away down the sink, without fear of causing a blockage. Both the tank and its filter can be easily rinsed clean. After being impressed with the hard floor cleaner, the company is back with a lighter, more powerful model.

It actually has a genius design to make cleaning both surfaces easy. The Bissell Croswave’s dirty water tank has a filter, so when you’re mopping, you don’t have to worry about sucking up any big pieces of debris. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max 2554 and Samsung Jet 90 Complete are different types of vacuums, though both offer some mopping functionality. The Samsung is a more conventional cordless stick vacuum that you can bundle with a somewhat unique ‘Spinning Sweeper’ floorhead, which uses rotating mop pads to scrub-away stains. However, this floorhead only scrubs away at stains, and the vacuum isn’t capable of dealing with liquid spills, unlike the BISSELL. That said, the Samsung vacuum is considerably better at everyday vacuuming tasks.
It makes clean-up so much easier, and I am always confident that the vacuum is working well. I’ve noticed the weight mostly on stairs, as I try to vacuum each step and bring it to multiple levels of my house! It also takes a bit more strength to maneuver around things like furniture. It is tempting to pull out the Crosswave and get the mopping done because it really is easy, but I have to plan before I mop. The Bissell Crosswave Max has a charging time of four hours, and it runs for 30 minutes. This short run time requires me to clean my house in two parts.
I didn’t notice right within the 30 days because I but it in the winter so I wasn’t going barefoot as much, so it was past the 30 day satisfaction guarantee. I reached out to them and they sent me more cleaner….VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS PRODUCT and would not recommend it unless you only want it for the vacuuming part. We are very happy with the cross wave cordless floor cleaner.
Since the CrossWave Cordless Max is also a vacuum cleaner, it can happily suck up large bits of debris. As such, there’s no need to vacuum the floor first, as you’d have to when using a steam mop. Impressive cleaning and vacuuming performance, the thicker roller will see you quickly cover floors. Its high price means that those who don’t need the convenience of cordless power should seek out cheaper, plug-in alternatives. The CrossWave Max is super easy to master as long as you can get a handle on the concept of pulling a trigger while you push and releasing it when you pull.
