Bissell 2554 CrossWave Cordless Max Parts

Had Bissell provided the option to purchase a spare battery that can be charged with the docking station at the same time, this would have resulted in a higher rating. Something I’ve had to get used to with the Bissell crosswave is its weight. It’s 11.5 pounds does give me a bit of an arm workout by the time I’m done cleaning my floors.

The CrossWave Max weighs a very respectable 5.22kg and comes with an extra large 828ml clean water tank and a larger-than-average 550ml dirty water tank with filter attached. This means you can clean for much longer than others without having to refill the clean water tank or empty the dirty one. I was impressed and surprised by how much dirt is picked up within the dirty water tank, and the convenience of this appliance makes it easier to perform quick cleanings on a more regular basis. The irobot vacuum cleaner Max does a good job dealing with stains when used with the Multi-Surface cleaning formula. It’s worth noting that this vacuum can leave behind a small amount of residue after completing a pass, though thankfully, it’s pretty easy to clear away.

As with its sibling, the Bissell CrossWave Cordless Max can tackle hard floors as well as rugs and carpets. I was super impressed by the way it miraculously removed all traces of pet hair and ketchup, returning the brush to near new condition after just one cleaning binge. I just wish Bissell could improve the interface between the cleaner and cleaning base because the current method is way too clunky. You can use it on your floors, linoleum, wood, tile, and rugs — wet, dry or yep, even both at the same time for a deeper clean.

Preferably, this plug socket will be out of sight from you and your guests, since this machine isn’t exactly the smallest. This is one of our only issues with the BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max – it’s quite hard to store. Ours is currently sitting in our kitchen, charging through a plug that sits above our worktop. It’s worth us noting that this machine has to be sat on the dock to charge, and you’ll want to place it on there when self-cleaning, too. If you are short on storage space, this is not the appliance for you.

The Max is good for cleaning bare floors. It easily clears away pet hair as well as small and bulky debris on this surface type, with no significant loss in suction performance as its dustbin fills up. Its mopping function is also quite effective in dealing with dried-on dirt and debris. However, while it feels decently well-built for the most part, it does have quite a few components that need to be cleaned or replaced periodically, so recurring costs can add up over time. Designed to tackle everything from spilt cereal, milk, and coffee to muddy footprints left by family and pets.

On running out of power, the CrossWave Cordless Max takes four hours to recharge. Depending on the size of your home, then, you may need to schedule your cleaning over a couple of days. More regular mess proved a cinch, with only a few sweeps required to leave a muddy floor super-clean. Handy LED lights at the front of the Cordless Max illuminate the area you’re cleaning, so you’re unlikely to miss any dirt.

Although this model is called the CrossWave Cordless Max, it’s no bigger than the previous CrossWave Cordless. In fact, at just 5.22kg, this model is actually lighter than its predecessor. It’s also the recipient of a few design tweaks that make it the better cleaner overall.
