Because schools are experiencing significant new demand for tests as COVID-19 cases continue to climb, the state is temporarily adjusting its allocation strategy to ensure schools receive an adequate supply. As a result, the state is pausing shipments to other community partners, including libraries and local health departments, until inventory and the supply chain have stabilized. At-home antigen test kits are available while supplies last for the campus community. This supplemental testing is optional and designed to help keep you and those around you as safe and healthy as possible.

For the point-of-care tests, health centers should report tests conducted in the past two weeks. Although rapid tests may be accepted by individual employers, schools, or airlines, the rapid tests made available by DC Health are not proctored. DC Health is unable to provide copies of rapid test results or proof of rapid testing for the purpose of work/school reinstatement or travel purposes. The Ohio Department of Health compiles a directory of testing and community health centers that provide COVID-19 tests. Be sure to keep your receipt if you need to submit a claim to your insurance company for reimbursement. As the manufacturer, SD Biosensor, transitions to this new brand, customers may receive a product with the previously authorized COVID-19 At-Home Test labeling. If the Expiration Date column does not say the shelf-life is extended, that means the expiration date on the box label of your test is still correct. The table will say “See box label” instead of having a link to updated expiration dates.
