You can remove the propellers to ease transport, but there is no folding features on this one. DJI has released an update to this great drone, the DJI dji drones Pro V2.0 is updated in mostly the same way that the Mavic Pro Platinum improves over the original Mavic Pro. To be specific, new propellers and updated ESCs create more efficient and quieter flight.
DJI’s decision to not only stop selling the Pro but also stop supporting the drone during this time absolutely destroyed the resale value. Mine has been sitting in a hard case collecting dust because nobody wanted to buy a drone they couldn’t get batteries for or get support from DJI. I merely stated that it was when I realized that the U.S.A. security agencies’ concerns about using Chinese made DJI drones were in fact well founded. After doing further research, I’ve learned there’s much more to it, and much more reason for other governments or people who don’t wish to abide by China’s wishes should not buy DJI. I thought a phone was needed to control the drone along with the controller.
The onboard camera features a 1-inch 20MP CMOS sensor and a mechanical shutter, eliminating rolling shutter distortion. An advanced sensor and impressive processing capture every detail and provide the image data needed for advanced post-production. The Phantom 4, as mentioned, has a 1/2.3-inch camera sensor, the newer drones in the Phantom line come with a full 1-inch sensor. This new sensor has a mechanical shutter, captures 20 MP images and bumps the maximum video bitrate from 60 to 100 Mbps. The RTK module is integrated directly into the DJI Phantom 4 RTK, providing real-time positioning data for improved absolute accuracy on image metadata.
Watch your autonomous mission in VR mode, or fly manually for added thrills. In Focus mode, Litchi assists you by taking control of both the gimbal and the drone’s yaw axis, so you can concentrate on horizontal movements. If the drone has a gimbal, you still should check how far it allows you to turn the camera.
If you’re a more advanced drone pilot, you’ll want to be able to maneuver the camera, turning it to the left, right, up, or down. The Phantom 4 Pro and GSPro have been around for a long time now and there have been few updates — but that’s not a bad thing. The Version 2 came out with quieter propellers and a slightly better transmission system, but the camera did not change. Similarly, only a few more options have been added to GSPro over the years. The DJI Go app also includes a simple way to piece together a movie on your iPad, along with free background music for you to use. It’s clear that DJI wants you to share as much footage as possible , and has made the process very simple. Immediately after landing the Phantom 4, you’re able to review photos and videos on your iPad. To be able to pilot your Phantom 4, you need to install the DJI Go app on your mobile device.
