Dyson 360 Eye Robot Vacuum Review

The Eufy hybrid robot vacuum has you covered for both picking up dirt and deep cleaning the floor. Thanks to the 2-in-1 hybrid design, the robot can mop while it’s vacuuming for an efficient clean. The vacuum cleaner is powered by twin turbines, each offering 2,000Pa of suction power, making it an ideal choice for pet owners. While it doesn’t solve all the issues that come with early robot vacuum cleaners, it’s the first model we would recommend. It’s powerful enough to clean well on all surfaces, smart enough to navigate efficiently, and simple enough for the whole family to use. Set up is via the Dyson Link app, and if you have other compatible Dyson products they will also show in this visually pleasing and easy to use software.

Let’s take a look at how they stack up against each other and choose a clear winner in the Roomba vs Dyson matchup. The RoboVac X8 memorises your home, creating automatically-generated multi-floor maps. This helps it determine the most efficient cleaning route while allowing you to customise cleaning areas and no-go zones. Don’t remember how well the suction was when comparing the two, but it was pretty similar i think. Yeah the roborock doesn’t suck for the full width of the machine like the Dyson, but honestly it picks up what I throw it at it.

On the right we see the text DUST ANALYTICS, and on the right we see SIDE ACTUATOR. At the back in the removable dust bin we see RADIAL CYCLONE TECHNOLOGY. There are no manual control modes so you cannot chose to clean a specific area of a room, mainly because the 360 Eye Is powerful enough to get the job done in a single session. The 360 Eye picked up a lot of the pet hair, but the rest was stuck along the side of the test pen. The 360 Eye came in last place on the rice test, picking up just 2.18 ounces on the plush carpet, 1.85 ounces on the berber-style carpet, and 2.13 ounces on the hardwood floor.

The other function I was hoping for was connecting the vacuum to my google home. I was able to do so successfully, but the voice commands are not robust enough. You can only turn the vacuum on or off, not command it to vacuum a specific section of the house. I was hoping I could tell it to vacuum a room I wasn’t planning on using irobot vacuum cleaner at the time as a work around for the app not having that functionality, but this is also not possible. I guess the real issue is that for my house, the vacuum needs to go back to the dock to recharge before finishing. This creates a 45 minute vacuum cycle, 2 hour recharge, and 45 minute vacuum cycle for a total of almost 4 hours.

That’s because it appeared to have more actual suction than many other robot vacuums we’ve seen, and it also seemed to navigate a room less chaotically than much of the competition. Most robot vacuums come with a Lithium ion battery of around 2000 mAh that will last long enough to handle approximately 200 m2 of floor space . Connected technology and and customized cleaning comes to life with the Dyson Link app, dyson robot vacuum available for both iOS and Android devices. From across the room, or across the world, the Link app allows the cleaning times to be scheduled and adjusted whenever connected to wifi. Switch between the three cleaning levels and create zones throughout the house which allows custom behaviours in each area. Afterwards the Dyson Link app shows cleaning reports and maps of the areas the 360 Heurist has cleaned.

Like some other Dyson products, the 360 Eye’s value is also questionable. Sure, I like 360 Eye’s app and the way it navigates around a room, but the Neato Botvac Connected has similar features, performs better in every category and costs $300 less. That doesn’t mean you won’t like Dyson’s Wi-Fi model, just be sure to weigh it against the competition before you buy. As we’ve mentioned, this isn’t Dyson’s first robot vacuum, but it could be the first for the US. The 360 Hyperdymium follows up the previous models, the 360 Eye and 360 Heurist, except it’s flatter and wider.

Even more, the device is voice-controlled, meaning you can use your Alexa or Google Home to not only manage it as it’s working, but schedule cleanings in advance, too. There are also anti-bump and anti-cliff sensors, which detect when the vacuum is nearing a tricky roadblock or getting dangerously close to the edge of a stair. And when the cleaning is all done, the robot vacuum automatically returns to its charging dock and begins loading up on juice for its next use. Though most don’t provide the equivalent cleaning performance of a traditional vacuum cleaner, for little and often cleaning, robot vacs can be brilliant.

New models will come out with new features and options and eventually there will be a clear winner. In truth, there have been several tests done on each of these vacuums. With a powerful motor and rotating brushes, the Dyson will vacuum floors and carpets.

Dyson’s previous vacuums, the 360 Eye and 360 Heurist, have been taller and narrower than rival products built by iRobot and the like. This allows them tighter cornering around items like chair bissell crosswave cordless legs, but stops them from vacuuming under some furniture. It’s hard to gauge the exact dimensions of this new product , but it does seem to be wider and flatter than the Eye and Heurist.
