The Braun 5020s is a hybrid shaver that allows shaving and trimming efficiently. Braun released different models in different versions of series 5 shavers. At the first release of Braun Series 5, Braun brought their shavers with 5xx numeric assertion . The first generation shavers are not available on the market now. The second-generation Series 5 shavers were released with 50xx numeric assertion where very few are available. The hygienic cleaning cartridge contains ethanol or isopropanol , which once opened will naturally evaporate slowly.
The 5090cc; 5030s; 5020s; are dry only shavers while 5040s; 5197cc; 5195cc; 5190cc; 5145s; 5147s; 5140s are for both wet and dry shaves. Now I will talk about 5 of the bestselling models. Speed is always important when looking at shaving performance.
Braun stations are very convenient compared to all other manufacturers since they use cartridges that can be taken out of the station and stored for a long time. Philips Norelco’s cartridges don’t have a cap and Panasonic stations just have a tray where you mix detergent and water. The costs of the cleaning cartridges are pretty reasonable and well worth the extra money in my opinion. I actually think the cleaning station is one of the highlights of the 5090cc/5190cc and contributes massively to what makes it an overall great package. So if you won’t be using the station for a few days in a row, it’s probably a good idea to remove the cartridge from the station and put the plastic cap back on. This is necessary in order to get the bulk of the hair clippings out of the shaving head.
To shave hard-to-reach areas (e.g. under the nose) slide the MultiHeadLock switch down to lock the shaver head. When the shaver is fully charged and connected Philips Norelco Shaver to an electrical outlet, all 3 charging segments will light up for a few seconds. A full charge provides up to 50 minutes of cordless shaving time.
Press the small button in the middle and slide upwards whilst the main razor is running. Purchased this shaver for my Dad for xmas and he absolutely loves it. He was initially a little worried as he had heard the series 7 was better, but it did not disappoint. It’s an older generation and only marginally different to the 7, but was easy enough for him to use without cutting himself an easy enough to charge when needed. Bought in Dec. 2017 and stopped working 3 months ago – braun replaced motor, pc board and battery. I’ll have to phone Braun again and see what they will do this time.
