Last spring I bought my first Blackstone Griddle. I am an amateur cook trying to make up for years of letting my hard-working wife take care of all of the food prep and cooking…both at home and at the campground. Learning to cook has been incredibly exciting, but overwhelming at the same time.
On the backside of the stand, there’s a set of pins on the left and right end. To fold the legs, you will pull the pin on the side with the shortest legs and fold them in. Next, you will pull the pin on the side with the weber spirit 2 longer legs and fold those in. The next step is adding the shelf to the side of the stand, this is an easy task. You simply place the tear-shaped holes over the pre-inserted screws located on the right side of the stand.
If I would have sized up to the 22″ I would have 2 heat zones which would be nice when cooking. However I’ve cooked multiple items on the griddle at weber spirit 2 the same time and as long as they need the same temperature they cook fine. The 17″ griddle has handled plenty of food to cook for my family of 6.
These are less portable but provide larger cooktops allowing you to cook more food at a time. If you’re using the griddle at home, you’ll want to use the bulk propane adapter and a standard 20-pound propane tank so you can get more cooking sessions between refills. Switching between the two adapters is quick and easy, so you take advantage of both options. In summary I totally love my 17″ Blackstone Griddle. It’s a fun way to cook outside and if you’re looking for something to take with you on your RV and camping adventures this would be a great addition to your gear.
